Final bid 902 credits. This card was sent to Texas. I was making some extra creatures last night to post online and one of them was done very similar to this card. There are lots of spots so I use the dots as a sort of connect the dots drawing. I did not see this creature before I drew it at all. While connecting the dots this was created. A few additions and it's done. I'm going to miss these splotches when the month is over.
Final bid 896 credits. This card was sent to Washington DC. Happy Fathers day! I wasn't sure what to make of this one all the other times I looked at it. Yesterday I received a comment about how the male humanoid creature would be good for fathers day. I looked through my cards to see if any others might lend themselves to a similar treatment. This one proved to do the job nicely.
I've posted some of my cards on etsy, but have heard from many that the competition is very steep there. A fellow artist suggested a newer site called yardsellr.com. Here is a link to try it out. I don't know how to do a referral link so hopefully this will work for you to get this special offer, If you do you can get a free 5.00 credit to help you buy a card for very little. Final bid 828 credits. This card was sent to Florida. I think the trouble is, if I don't know what an area or creature is going to be before I start drawing no one else will know either... but then who cares. It's not like these have to look like anything in particular. I actually enjoy the freedom of ambiguity. That is when I remember to enjoy it.
Final bid 1,343 credits. This card stayed in Oregon. The latest creature support card sold today! YAY. I also made my first sale on ETSY. I have limited edition prints of my creature cards available there along with other special items. Check it out when you get a chance. I'm going to post some more tonight!
Final bid 2,242 credits. This card was sent to Georgia. Todays card is reversible.
Today is also the last day of Kindergarten for my daughter. They grow up too fast. Hello summer! Creature Card #13 "Splotch Monster" Edition "A Bird in the Hand is Worth Two in the Bush."6/13/2012 Final bid 2,520 credits. This card was sent to New York; however, the letter containing this card was returned to me empty. Please see Creature Card #29 June blog for more details. The credits were returned to the winner and we were sad it was gone. Amazingly, the card was found by the post office and returned to me. I sent this card to the winner with some other cards he recently aquired in a bubble mailer. When my mom heard about the return of the card she said "A bird in the hand is worth two in the bush." She didn't know the card was about a bird. I thought the name was fitting and mentioned it to the winner. He agreed. It is nice to have her home. Color is so hard to photograph... art is just hard in general to photograph. Sigh.
Final bid 808 credits. This card was sent to Washington DC. Working at the gallery today. It's been a nice slow day. I brought my drawing to work on it but I forgot my pencil sharpener so I'm limited in what I can accomplish. At least I have some other things to work on. I'm trying to get all my prints posted in my shop on Etsy. The sooner everything is live the better. Then I can just create and wait.
