This card will live in Arizona. This is another custom card created in exchange for purchasing a ticket to my show in February. I'm finally getting caught up on them. I have one more to create and then I can move onto a few other commissions that need to get done.

Final bid 1008 credits. This card will be going to Washington State. I was watching Kaleb get up off the floor in a crawling fashion. I recorded the position of the front arm before he had moved. The rest of the creature was from memory and created based on the beginning positions inspiration. I think the back legs got a bit fowled up, but the scenery worked out nicely. I forgot to sign the drawing and put the number on it. I'll have to do that and rephotograph the image before shipping it out.
Final bid 306 credits. This card will be going to Ohio! This card was actually started by my son Kaleb. He will be 2 years old on June first. As is usual of a little one his size, he found my card and pencil while I was up getting a drink. He scribbled a few lines on the paper and I went with it. The lines that he drew where the eye, a couple dots that I used for end points, and the line on the bottom left where the "tail" like area is. The rest was free association off the lines provided.
Final bid 646 credits. This card is going to Washington state. Perhaps I'm starting to feel more "grounded." Or perhaps change is forcing itself out of my head. Either way my mood is stabelizing-ish. I'll get over it... and nothing is final, yet.
Final bid 435 credits. This card is going to a new winner in Texas. I don't think the picture is as red as the card. Getting the color just right in a photograph is often difficult, and then it will look different depending on the browser. I would say that this is how I feel today.
Final bid 235 credits. This card is going to ... Today I decided to paint the water color first and then put the pen on. I find them to be more abstract this way. I had an interesting and long day. There were many ups and a few downs. The roller coaster of life. It's just like a roller coaster the up part is heavy with anticipation while the down is full of adrenaline. It seems like you clank up, and whoosh down. I'm so glad God is in control. Even when I have to recover from the down slope it takes a shorter amount of time with such a reality to cling to.
Final bid 561 credits. This card is going to Washington Dc. It was brought to my attention that the blog for this card was forgotten. So here is the update. This creature looks great no matter what direction it's attached to the wall. It will be the winners choice which direction they will choose for it to be viewed from. I was inspired by a drawing of a bunch of grapes while at church. This was going to be a creature in 3/4 view portrait but I didn't like the way it looked in a shirt.
Final bid 252 credits. This card is going to Tennessee. I've been avoiding finishing this blog tell now. I really shouldn't wait since as the day continues I forget more and more of it, but it's too late to change that now :)
I had a really good day today. I was able to get most of this character inked in before going to a fun ATC make and trade event hosted by a local scrap book shop called Paper Mermaids. I had a really good time creating and trading. Ash and Kaleb both made cards and traded them. (I did the trade for Kaleb lol.) I was really amazed at how well Ashley did with the collage card. I made one card that was like a creature and a collage card. It was really fun to meet the ladies there and we decided to start having a make and trade group every second saturday. My mom didn't catch the spark but enjoyed trading for a mermaid card she liked. The nice thing is she is willing to watch Kaleb while Ash and I go to the saturday events. Collage felt very foreign to me. I'm contemplating making myself do a month's worth. It would be challenging to make creatures from them. I'm not set on it yet just a thought. After we left we made a few stops and then went to feed the birds by the ocean. That is so much fun. I really love it here :) Tomorrow a wonderfully close friend of mine will be arriving to stay for a week or so until her apartment is ready for her. I'm excited to have adult conversations with her. God is amazing. The way everything is orchestrated. I am just in awe. I also wanted to share with you a link one of the card winners shared with me. There are images of strange sea creatures to look at. Some are just so amazing and strange. If I made some of these I'd think nah no one will believe it too odd... but these are real lol. Here is the link. Enjoy! Final bid 505 credits. This card is going to California. Name: El Piguito. El piguito is fine, as fine as a mosquitos mouth. I started with the legs today. I wanted to make something with very long legs. What to attach to the legs was much harder. I added the extra tail when I realized the one I made looked more like it was coming off the side. I feel like I'm running out of colors and I'm not even half way through the month... looks like I'll have to start mixing them.
Final bid 784 credits. This card will be staying in Oregon. Name: Squiggily. He's a happy little sea monster (about the size of a normal squid). He's very rare, can only be found in the coldest waters of the arctic. His kind only live to be 2-5 years old, and mate for life. He's just a baby, only 2 months old Well so much for making a mermaid. This is a great example of why making custom cards is hard for me. I started making the mermaid tail and well... this happened lol.
