The Creature Card Creation Project was a two part art creation project that finished June 2013 with the help of Kickstarter support. A total of 365 creatures were made and given to the public, but for various reason I still have two left. In line with the project I still want to provide them to you and this is how I propose to do it!
As a kid I use to collect various X-men and Marvel cards as well as Pokemon and Sailor Moon cards just to name a few. (I may blush a little at the reality of it, but I am still a proud Geek Girl.) As an adult I was introduced to Artist Trading Cards and fell in love. If you have never heard of Atc’s I highly suggest a journey down the Google rabbit hole. You may be surprised what you discover informatively and visually. Most of the creatures created in the first project were in ATC format. ATC's are the traditional trading card size just like my classic X-men at 3.5 x 2.5 inches. I thought what better way to find a random home for these two remaining Creature Cards than by making my own trading card packs! Hopefully instilling feelings from the fortunate winner reminiscent of the Golden ticket from Willy Wonka.
The cards for this project will be taken exclusively from, or created during, The Creature Card Creation Project pt2. Each card will be regulation size and will be printed in color on both sides. They will be on 14pt. Gloss Coated Cover with Uv coating to retain the quality of the image overtime. To keep the price down for you I’ll need to order them in bulk so the initial goal will cover the printing cost for one run. I’ve found a site I’m ready to work with.
These cards will feature many of the traditional attributes found on the cards I grew up with, to include the creature name on the front and more detailed information as well as statistics on the back of each card. Below you will find the list of potential cards including variations of Uncommon, Common, Rare, Ultra Rare and Holy Molly I got it.
