Here is a video I recorded for a friend who wanted to know how we make splotches. My lovely assistant is my two year old son Kaleb. This is how WE make splotches. I'm sure there are many other ways and possibilities if you get creative. I'd love to see what you come up with. Enjoy!
I've decided to list these special "splotch monsters" as support cards for a limited time. Each Creature is 4" x 12". They are available for only $40.00 unframed just for my special Creature Card supporters. I will have these available in the showroom for one month, Aug 17 2012. At the end of the time I will have these framed and sell them in my Gallery.
Click images to see them larger. I got a call from the gallery. A gal came in and bout 5 of my limited edition prints! I'm very happy to see the cards moving. I created some prints on Moo.com and with the help of my framer I will have some matted to 8x10 and available hopefully within a month. I will also be getting some greeting cards in as well. They will all be from the last few months best color images. Moo does a fabulous job of printing. I know you will be impressed with the quality. Now if they would only print atc cards.
I know I'm supposed to be taking a break but I miss the interaction with all my supporters. I would like to share a card with you all. I've been making a lot of support cards to sell on my website to help fund the continuation of the project, but I would like to offer one of those support cards to you today on Listia. Just follow the link above to bid on the card. Splotch by Kaleb. Ink by Rhonda Chase July 11 2012 This reminds me of Picaso's work. For sale $10.00 I am beginning to make progress on the coloring book. I'm getting quotes and figuring out the layout now. It has been very hard not to draw everyday and on occasion I have a spirt and spit out anything from two to ten cards. All of these cards are available for purchase through the Creature Card Support Page tab. The revenue from sales goes entirely to support the continuation of the creature card project. Day of the Dead Support CardsThanks to a victoria secret catalogue I received in the mail I was able to make a few more Day of the Dead Aceo cards. I had fun with my sequin as well! Super Hero Support CardsWhile making the Day of the Dead cards I overdid one and it turned out looking more like a person in a mask. This made me think that some cards might turn into super hero/ villain cards. I've always enjoyed super hero's and collected x-men cards as a kid. These were very fun to create. Support InchiesKaleb helped me make some splotches. Larger views available here.
