This is the final drawing that I needed to do in payment to the patrons who purchased tickets to my show in February. Fortunately I happened to finish right as he was having his birthday. He asked for an attractive female hero character. I made this character designed after his in game avatar in Super Hero City. Since he purchased two tickets I offered to make him one larger drawing. This gouache painting is 5 x 7 inches.
Final bid 232 credits. This card is going to Tennessee. "The Tail of Love" As I sit here on the floor abandoned, I think back to the days when I was loved. I was new and fluffy, hugged with lots love. Then one day on the playground I got caught as we went down the slide and a part of my tail got tattered, but the tears stopped when I was fixed up with care. We were traveling through the backyard, except it was now a jungle, and we were looking for the lion to ask if he had courage. When we found him sunbathing by the lake (bird bath) he grabbed me with his claws, I escaped but not before he sliced my face in two. I was rushed inside, and after many long minutes, was returned to a sad face now shinning. We went to a place called school and I had to secretly be hidden in a bag, but I was okay because I don't need to breathe. At a time nap time I got to come out, but another kid tried to take me and I ripped my back a bit. I was held with band-aids til doctor Mom could fix me again. She is a very nice doctor. We went on a field trip to a farm after that and I got bit by a pig, It took my eye! But we are a big kid now and we don't cry, but say 'Pirates are cool!' and I got an eye patch for awhile until it fell off and got lost. Then I was put on a shelf for a very long time, until recently I wash put in alot of water that went round and round and then a hot place that made me dry and fluffy. Then somehow ended up here on the floor. I was excited to be picked up from that shelf after so very, very long lonely nights. I hear a sound and a voice. Someone is picking me up! A baby, what's that? A new friend? Me? I look and see a smiling face and feel arms hug me with lots of love ^_^ Today was yard sale day. Overall great day!
Final bid 3530 credits! This card is staying in Oregon. I was recently introduced to an artist from one of my frequent card winners. His name is Steve Loya and he has been making "splotch monsters" every day for nearly a thousand days. WOW! Here is a link to his site so you can see and enjoy his wonderful work. It was suggested that I try this style of creations for a bit to see how it goes. I am really glad that they suggested it.
The first card that I did this month was colored by my son who's birthday is today. He turned two years old! On every fifth day I'm going to try making a 1x1 inch splotch monster. I've seen these in auctions. It seems people like them for doll houses and I think the challenge is alluring. The more I look at the photograph of the first image the more I can see. I'm going to have to really stare at the cards before I start. Find the hidden treasure. The nice thing is I could print the splotch and do it again if I really wanted to. I'm looking forward to this month. |
