Free Art Day 44

2.5 x 3.5 inch ATC. Graphite

Graphite takes considerably longer for me to use. I just realized I forgot to blend after drawing... so this could have been a little smoother. It's been a while since I've drawn anything in just graphite.... it's been a long time since I've sold anything in just graphite... This was actually my attempt to make a more realistic creature. Can something that doesn't exist actually be realistic? Of course! I just can't seem to do it.

I am working on getting a number of people together from across the continent to play an online, google hangouts, version of D&D. I've been watching a lot of Merlin on Netflix when nothing new is out to see. I decided to play a wizard like Merlin. If you know anything about the two a wizard in the game is similar to the warlock Merlin, but not at the same time. I will be taking on a "familiar" or pet that I interact with empathically. There are a lot of cool familiars to pick from. A common choice is the raven. I decided to go out of the box and choose the Toad which increases my hit points. Here is the image I found online to represent my Toad I have yet to name. I used this image as the inspiration and starting direction for todays creature. Enjoy!
