Hey everyone! Thanks for taking the time to visit my site and read my first ever blog post! It seems like a daunting task... will it be interesting enough? Am I interesting enough for people to want to read about me... I guess you can't find out 'till you try. Today I thought I would mention something new that I'm trying. Thanks to my Toledo Facebook friends I was introduced to Listia.com. It's a fun site that reminds me of eBay but is more like a big barter system flea market. People post things that would be harder to sell on eBay but that they don't want anymore. Others bid and win the bids using credits. That is right folks money is becoming a thing of the past. I'll be able to tell my grandkids I remember when you had to use coins and paper to buy things :)
So I decided, to keep myself practicing and sharing my art; I will start making a drawing a day on a 3 x 5 card (that is the goal anyway). I'm calling them my Creature Cards and putting them on Listia.com for people to buy with their credits, that way I can mail them for just the cost of a stamp and hopefully be able to trade for things I need later on down the line. I am hopeful that the drawings will become a popular things for people to get inexpensively. Here is the very first Creature Card. Have a fabulous day! Final bid 237 credits. She now lives in Washington state. Information about the character from the winning party: Her name is Piatorgo. She is 5 feet tall. An alien cross breed of a peacock/flamingo/raptor type animal bird creature. The females of her species range in color from a soft periwinkle to a deep lavender. She is a predator, lovely and very dangerous. They do will in positions of espionage. They could be ridden, but would probably try to kill you if you attempted it. They consider themselves to be elite creatures. She is a carnivore, but has a secret food fetish that would humiliate her if it got out. She loves sesame seeds rolled in peanut butter, a taboo for her kind. The species cannot fly. Over 2000 years of breeding and adjusting to their environment they have lost the ability. There wings have lengthened and slimmed and the feathers have lost their fluff. They have become as dense as bones.
